Tree Netting

Tree Netting

$3.35Price
1 Foot

Order by the foot. Net is 16' wide. A 16' X 16' square can cover an average 6-8' tall and wide tree (see note below.) For netting fruit trees or fruit bushes. Price is per foot. Fabric measures 16' wide. Mesh is suitable for excluding Apple Maggot, Codling Moth and Brown Marmolated Stink Bug from ripening Apples and Pears. It may also be of value to help exclude the Spotted Wing Drosophila fruit fly from berry and cherry bushes and trees. With any of these pests, the net will not prevent the adult flies from laying eggs on fruit in direct contact with the net. In the case of apples and pears, fruit damage seems limited to the fruit in contact with the net. With the fruit fly, given the species life cycle, fruit damaged under the net may lead to future generations of the flies hatching in the area under the net and damaging much of the contained crop. Securing the net above any fruit may help to reduce insects breaching the exclusion netting. See the website for further information on installation of the netting.
